Barry's Courts

In the early 1980s, the tennis courts were constructed through a grant and volunteer labor.  In 1996, Barry Young became the volunteer director of the tennis courts.  Subsequently, Barry became the park director for all the parks, and worked with the District to maintain the parks.

In 1997, with the assistance of the Mokelumne Hill Community Historical Trust, lights were installed on the front court.  Between 1998 and 1999, a grant and donations were received to resurface the courts.  Around 2005, David Sidle purchased and donated new lights for the front court.  In 2007, the United States Tennis Association, Northern California Division, awards a $2,500 grant for court resurfacing; the District matches the grant.
